Nokia Soon Launching a Tracker for Misplaced Items and Handsets


The techies at Nokia research center have come out with a device that is going to be really helpful for the people who have a habit of losing or misplacing things. The company revealed Nokia Locate sensor at this year’s CES. It is a small unassuming device, which can be attached to anything that users would have a tendency to misplace. Here are some other features of the device:

  • It is coupled with a corresponding Symbian application enabling the user to locate the misplaced item to which the sensor is attached.
  • Application can accommodate up to 100 items.
  • Each sensor has a battery that can run for up to 18 months.
  • Sensor and handset application have a range of up to 100 meters.

By just using the sensor, users will still be able to find misplaced handset. It is capable of disabling the working of device in case it’s over 3 meters away from the user and gets activated when in range.

As of now, the device is still a prototype, but you can expect Nokia to launch it anytime soon.
