Lenovo has recently unleashed four new laptops in its range of IdeaPad notebook and ThinkPad notebook lines.The new models in the IdeaPad line include the U330, the Y730, the Y530 and the Y430.

IdeaPad U330 is a thin and ultra-light laptop with a weight of just over four pounds, and it comes in an indigo blue and ebony black color finish. The frame measures 0.9-inches, and the notebook is also empowered with the VeriFace face recognition technology, with which users can access encrypted files and record video messages.The notebook has a special switchable graphics feature that allows users to alternate between integrated and discrete functions which deliver an energy efficient, power saving convenience and a great multimedia experience. It sports an LED-backlit display, with five hours of battery life, and the notebook also features support for HDMI and an optional built-in DVD burner too.

With a prince range that starts from Rs 90,000, the U series notebooks are enforced with the Lenovo’s Active Protection System technology that was pioneered by ThinkPad notebooks.

Ideapad Y730 is a multimedia notebook featuring a frame less screen, touch sensitive controls, Dolby Home Theatre and a One-Key Rescue System. It possess several other similar features with the Ideapad series such as the VeriFace facial recognition software, support for HDMI and an optional Blu-Ray DVD player. The IdeaPad Y430 and Y530 models offer a choice of a framed screen and a frame less screen for an engrossing viewing experience. The Y series Notebooks are available in the choices of either a black or a new red textured design, and the price range starts from Rs 42,990.

The new ThinkPad line comes in the SL, R, T, X and W series models. The SL series includes the SL300, SL400 and SL500 models. The notebooks are targeted for small- and medium-sized business segments, and they all feature mobile broadband connectivity with 3G capabilities, multimedia support and an optional Blu-ray drive. The rest of the models in the ThinkPad Line are the R400, the R500, the T400, the T500, W500 and the X200.

However the X200 model does not have an optical drive, but except from that, it is a fully functional laptop. The trendy, stylish and compact X200 is priced at $1,199.
