Buffalo is soon going to launch its DriveStation FlexNet high-capacity storage device in India. It has the features of both: external USB drive and a NAS solution.

Both the features can be used just with the push of a button. The NAS connection device supports both 10/100 Ethernet Network storage functionality. The massive storage capacities of 500GB, 640 GB and 1 TB makes FlexNet ideal to provide back up to PC as well as networked computers. There is an easy switch from plug-and-play USB connection to Ethernet mode for better access and sharing.

Some other features of device are:

  • Have a sleek and compact look.
  • Secure lock feature.
  • Ware software to encrypt essential data and safeguard it from burglary as well as unauthorized access.
  • The Turbo USB complaint FlexNet automatically uses back up files on a PC or MAC through Memeo auto back up.

The DriveStation FlexNet storage device is expected to arrive in the Indian market in the month of January, 2009. It will be priced for INR 11,000(500GB), INR 12000 (640GB) and INR 15000 (1TB).
