Samsung and Sprint have confirmed that White Galaxy S2, also known as Epic 4G Touch, will be released on 8thJanuary 2012, along with Samsung M370. Sprint is a well known global service provider for voice, data and Internet.
Samsung White Galaxy S2
This classy frost white coloured SmartPhone runs on Google’s Android v2.3 Gingerbread. Epic 4G Touch comes with an extra large 4.52-inch Super-AMOLED, scratch resistant display screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is equipped with a powerful dual core 1.2 GHz Samsung Exynos CPU, that is sourced by a 1800mAh battery. Epic 4G Touch sports a fashionable 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED Flash, that can easily record full HD 1080p videos, as well as a 2MP front camera ever so important for video calling. Also provided are 16GB of inbuilt memory, 1GB of RAM, microSD slot for expansion of memory and Mali-400MP graphics processing unit.
This device also provides 3G/4G mobile hotspot functionality supporting up to 8 mobile devices.
All in all, Epic 4G Touch is a superslim, superfast Android operated SmartPhone that provides talk time of up to 9 hours and standby time of 252 hours. Though there’s no news of ICS software upgradation yet, but hopefully it will be included soon to make this device even better.
Samsung M370
Samsung M370 is a clamshell designed flip phone, that features two LCD display. First LCD display on the external body mainly used to display time and notifications for new calls and messages. There is another primary LCD display of 2.4-inch QVGA resolution deployed internally. The camera resolution of 1.3MP is provided externally incorporating digital zoom and self-timer. M370 comes with 128MB of RAM, 256MB of ROM, Bluetooth, USB Port and HTML browser to access sites through GPRS. Memory card slot for optional memory expansion. Samsung M370 is an old fashioned phone that is perfect for people, who like to make calls, receive calls, receive and reply to messages with occasional clicking of pictures. Through Sprint, M370 will be available in brand new colours. Powered by 1000mAh battery it can guarantees talk time of 5hours and 40 minutes.
Samsung White Galaxy S2 or Epic 4G Touch will be made available for consumers at USD $199.99(approx. INR 10,555) and Samsung M370 will be available for USD $19.99 (approx. INR 1,055), both models are offered on two-year contract with upgrading option. While Samsung M370 can be contracted on any available Sprint plan, Epic 4G Touch will require Sprint Everything Data Plan as well as an additional charge of USD $10 (approx. INR 528). Both handsets will me made available to consumers on January 8th 2012.
