Nokia has recently announced the launch of their new quad-band GSM mobile handset, the Nokia 6600 Slide, in India. The handset would be featuring a 16.7 Million color TFT screen, a 3.15 Mega Pixel camera with video-recording option, a FM Radio, Bluetooth with A2DP connection and a microSD expandable memory card slot.
The quad-band GSM 850/900/GSM 1800/GSM 1900 Mhz network enabled Nokia 6600 Slide mobile phone is quipped with an 18 MB internal memory. The internal storage memory can store around 1000 entries of phone numbers and records of the previous 30 dialed, receive and missed calls each.
The handset is presently available in black and offers standard GPRS Multislot Class 32 connection. The existing maximum data transfer speed is upto 88 kbps, although one can also use the ultrafast data transfer option that features upto 296 kbps speed. One major attraction is the EDGE network connection functionality that allows ultra fast data transmissions, faster downloads and quicker file transfers. Moreover the Bluetooth v2.0 connection with Advanced Audio Distribution Profile enables the mobile users listen to music on a bluetooth compatible headset. The integrated Media Player of the handset supports the file types of MP3, MP4, WMA, H.263, H.264, AAC, AAC+ and enhanced AAC+.
