Dell Launches Inspiron Mini 12 in Indian Markets


Dell has announced the launch of the Inspiron Mini 12 netbook (slim series) in the Indian markets. It measures under 1.1-inch and is just 0.2 inch thicker than its competitor MacBook Air and VooDoo Envy.

Here are the additional features:

  • The Macbook is powered by the 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530.
  • Has a 533MHz FSB.
  • A Intel US15W chipset.
  • A 1GB DDR2 533MHz and 80GB 4200RPM HDD.
  • WiFi (802.11b/g).
  • A 1.3 megapixel webcam.
  • Bluetooth.

The system runs on the Windows XP Home edition rather than Windows Vista offered in the US. You can even get an additional online storage of 2GB on Box.net that is offered by Dell to every Mini 12 buyer.

The netbook is mainly targeted at Internet-savvy students and business executives who have a fetish for slim laptops with all the advanced features.

The Mini 12 will be available by the end of January 2009 and will be retailed through Croma Electronic Megastore branches Pricing has not yet been determined yet!
