CES 2012 : Toshiba Excite World’s Thinnest Tablet Announced!

Keeping true to the news that had been circulating for quite sometime, Toshiba will finally be unveiling its brand new, super-thin tablet Excite at the CES 2012. Toshiba Excite is just 7.7mm thick, which means it neatly beats the previous record holder, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, by amazing 0.9mm.
CES 2012 : Toshiba Excite World's Thinnest Tablet AnnouncedToshiba Excite operates on Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS, has brilliant internal memory of 16/32GB that can be expanded even further while the battery life of almost 8 hours is guaranteed for video playback alone. 1.2 GHz dual core TI OMAP4 processor along with 1GB RAM ensures smooth performance of the device. 10.1-inch Capacitive Touch Screen Display of Toshiba Excite offers resolution of 1200×800 pixel. There are two cameras provided, a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera.

Market today is flooded with Android tablets, with possibly another hundred releasing during CES 2012. Toshiba Excite, aided by its unbelievable dimensions, promises to stand out of the crowd. Though no confirmation has yet been provided on wireless charging feature as well as 3G network, we all will have to wait until Toshiba Excite reveals itself to public at CES 2012. Currently, only US launch details have been made public with 16GB Excite priced at USD $529 (approx INR 27,936) while its 32GB counterpart can be purchased at USD $599 (approx INR 31,635).
