Browse Websites Through E-mail- ‘Web-in-Mail’ By Rediff

web in mail
Rediff has started a new ‘Web-in-Mail’ service! What does it mean? It means that you don’t require a Web browser and can easily access websites through the comfort of an e-mail client like MS Outlook, Outlook Express and your Blackberry device. Also the fact is that the feature is not at all limited to web pages but you can also be able to get rediff search results by typing the search terms in your mail.

How you can do this? You just need to send a mail to browse@webinmail.com with the URL (internet address) of the webpage that you want to access in the subject line. After doing so, just sit back and relax as an automatic mail will be sent back to the user with html version of the site embedded in the mail.

Venki CTO, Rediff.com throws some light on the whole issue “Web-in-mail will let people with restricted internet access to now access internet content”.

If that’s not sufficient, what is best is that the feature also provides search results through popular search engines. You just need to type in the right keyword (in order to search a particular thing) in the subject line and email it to the same address: browse@webinmail.com. The search results will be mailed to you in seconds.
