After the total failure of iPhone in India because of its high prices, Apple is soon to release a new low cost iPhone 3G model especially in countries like India and China. The iPhone is expected to run on the 3G network without the support of Wi-Fi, which will reduce the entry cost.

Apple to Offer DRM Free songs for iPhone 3G at New Prices

Apple has announced that it will be changing the prices and music offerings in iTunes. According to the announcement, the four music labels – Universal Music, Sony, Warner Music and EMI & other independent labels will offer their music in the DRM-free formats in iTunes Plus.
The songs will be available in high quality 256 kbps AAC. One of the major changes include that the songs will be downloadable on iPhone 3G over 3G networks like Wi-Fi and that too for the same price. Apple will be offering music as per the charges decided by these music labels from April onwards. Read more

Wait is over! Members of the Dev team who finally came up with the launch of the “yellowsn0w” iPhone 3G software! The unlocking process was going on for quiet some time. To use “yellowsn0w” users will need a jailbroken iPhone with baseband firmware 2.11.07 or earlier. And best of all, it will be free as usual.
The team says :”We’re aiming to do the live demo in about 12 hours, or 3PM EST/9PM CET. The actual URL will be tweeted via MuscleNerd’s twitter account just as it starts.” Read more

In their blog, the Dev team has announced that it will be releasing a software unlock solution for the iPhone 3G this New Year.

“We have been working hard on 3G unlock code named “Yellowsn0w”. The work is almost complete and is being packaged into a user-friendly way with the same amount of simplicity you see in QuickPwn or BootNeuter. Soon after the launch of this 3G marvel, there came a flood of complaints from disgruntled users about the irregularities and the structural defects that had reared their ugly heads after the purchase of the product. Now, according to Yahoo News, one of Apple iPhone 3G customers has finally taken the company for what they are worth and sued Apple Inc. and has claimed that the iPhone 3G network isn’t what had been advertised and that the advertising campaign of Apple Inc is misleading.
