Lenovo Introduces IdeaPad U Series Ultrabooks And IdeaPad S Series Netbooks At CES 2012!

After the launch of a more business oriented ThinkPad T430u last week. Lenovo is now all set to showcase its latest additions to U series and S series, at the ongoing CES 2012. Lets have a look at the features provided with these Lenovo IdeaPads individually :

Lenovo IdeaPad U series
Lenovo Introduces IdeaPad U series Ultrabooks‘U’ in Lenovo U series stands for Ultrabook, and rightly so all the laptops belonging to this category are thin, portable and attractive looking. Improving on previously available U300’s model, Lenovo is now showcasing two brand new IdeaPads U310 and U410 at CES 2012. Both products run on Intel Ivy Bridge platform Core with i3/i5 options, have memory of 500GB HD/64GB SSD, Windows 7 OS. Scheduled to go on floor in May 2012, U310 sports a 13.3-inch screen offering 1366×768 resolution combined with Intel HD3000 Graphics card. While U410, also available in May, offers its users a 14-inch display screen packing in a more powerful NVIDIA 610m Graphics card. Both U310 and U410 share all-aluminum book-cover styling, chiclet keyboards and thin bodies. With a battery life of upto 8 hours, both Lenovo IdeaPad U310 and U410, will be available in numerous attractive colours such as Aqua Blue, Cherry Blossom, Graphite Gray, Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue and Spearmint.

Lenovo IdeaPad S series
IdeaPad S series NetbooksLenovo S series range consists of mini laptop, intermediately devices to bridge the gap between notebooks and netbooks. Apart from Lenovo IdeaTab S2, Lenovo will also be adding IdeaPads S200 and S206 to its S series. Both models have almost same specifications such as 11.6-inch mini screen, 2GB RAM, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI port, 500GB hard drive, SD/MMC card reader and not only two-cell battery but they share same weight, 1.3kgs, as well. Only major difference being that IdeaPad S200 comes loaded with Intel Atom N2800 Cedar Trail processor while U206 will be packed with AMD C60 dual-core processor.

Lenovo IdeaPad U310 weighs 1.7 kgs altogether, while Lenovo IdeaPad U410 weighs 1.9 kgs. Planned to go on floor in May 2012, owning a brand new model of U series will cost you USD $699 (approx. INR 36,850) onwards while S series, releasing in June 2012, will be made available for USD $349 (approx. INR 18,400) and up.
