Gmail with An Easy Import Feature

Google has announced a new tool for Gmail that will simplify the lengthy process of importing emails and contacts from both big and small competitors including MSN mail, Yahoo Mail and Hotmail.

Now, the new Gmail users can have an easy access to import features through the renamed Accounts and Import tab provided in the Gmail settings. The company has plans to slowly roll out the import feature to its existing mail users also. Read more

$2.05 Per User: That is what Google is offering to compensate Google Apps Premier Edition customers after the Gmail Outage that happened recently! The search engine is even apologizing for it and offering a 15 day credit for businesses which pay for Google Apps services.

Have a look at this link. It will give you a deeper insight on the performance information for Google Apps services. But Google certainly has to do something about these frequent outages, especially when a majority of business communication rely on Google for VOIP.

g-mail Update On Gmail
Gmail was going through some problems yesterday. There were server errors, leaving the users were clueless!

Meanwhile, a Google representative posted this on the Gmail Help Discussion Forum:

“We’re aware of a problem with Gmail affecting a small subset of users. The affected users are unable to access Gmail. We will provide an update by February 24, 2009 6:30 AM PST detailing when we expect to resolve the problem. Please note that this resolution time is an estimate and may change.” Read more
