Sony Launches the MEX-BT3600U Bluetooth Car Panel

Sony recently launched the MEX-BT3600U, a new USB & Bluetooth enabled car stereo. The MEX–BT 3600U is available at Sony stores across the country. The hanset is priced at the rate of Rs. 9,990, and it comes along with a warranty for two years. As anyone will expect from the latest addition to Sony’s in-car line-up, the Car panel offers superb sound quality along with various premium audio features.

The MEX–BT 3600U features a CD tuner with USB and Bluetooth interface coupled with front Aux-in. This lets you enjoy your personal music collection while you’re on the move. It enable users to plug in USB pen drives directly or streamed from a Bluetooth compatible WALKMAN or mobile phone through the car’s speakers withouth the need for connecting wires.

The MEX-BT3600U offers other features such as the ‘Quick-BrowZer’ interface, which allows users to browse through their musics libraries using the front panel’s rotary controller. There’s also a front panel for extra flexibility, the AUX input that connects with the headphone output of any personal audio player.

The feature-packed head unit makes hands-free calling convenient and safe with Bluetooth mobile phone. It links without a wire to mobile phones that support Bluetooth connectivity and provides a microphone with echo cancellation technology that’s concealed behind the head unit’s front panel.

Another aspect of this feature is that the other party’s voice can be heard clearly through the car speakers, and there’s no need to wear a Bluetooth headset while you’re at the wheel. The music is automatically paused when a call is accepted, and resumes when the call is ended.

The DRIVE-S CD chassis teams 24-bit D/A conversion with 52W x 4 channels of low distortion MOSFET power. Sony’s original DM+ (Digital Music+) codec enhancer restores high frequencies that are often lost when music files have been compressed from a CD source. Additionally, three separate pre-outs are also provided, and Key head unit functions can be easily handled using the supplied card-sized infrared remote control.
