Samsung Launches a New Range of LCD and Plasma TVs


Samsung has announced that it’s breaking out the three LED-backlit HDTVs into its own line Luxia.

Luxia, the line of LED TVs focuses on better quality display, energy efficient technique and of-course ultra-thin designs. All the models in the range are an enhanced version of Touch of Color image display, which produces high contrast ratios and a crystal clear detail. With these over an inch thick Luxias, Samsung has managed to squeeze the in-built tuner into a TV.

The models falling under the Luxia category include:

LNXXB8000

  • It has next generation auto motion plus 240Hz frame interpolation technology.
  • Deliver fast 240 Hz refresh rate.
  • The 8000 series will be available in 46inch and 55 inch class sizes in the first half of 2009.

LNXXB700

  • It has an auto motion plus 120Hz frame technology.
  • A 120Hz refresh rate, which is double the rate of standard LCDs.

LNXXB600

  • • It has a power indicator menu and consumes 40 percent less power.
  • • The model will be available in first half of 2009 in 40 inch, 46 inch and 55 inch sizes.

Both the LNXX700 and LNXX600 models are powered by Yahoo’s widget platform and viewers can watch content from different internet sources.

The company said that Luxia range will also come with an improved wall mount that will reduce the gap between TV and wall from 2-0.6 inches.

Samsung has also announced that LED 750 will be redesigned to include 240Hz refresh rate and to get an ultra clear panel display.
