RIM Unveils BlackBerry App World in India

Research in Motion has introduced the BlackBerry App World in India. After it was launched globally on April 1, many changes were done in the app store including the change of name.

If you are a BlackBerry Smartphone user, you can download the App World on your phone by going to www.blackberry.com/appworld in the mobile web browser. All the BlackBerry handsets with 0S 4.2 or higher version will support the new BlackBerry App World.

You need to have an active data service connection for downloading the application and the charges will be applicable for the process. There are various applications available on BlackBerry App World for free and on paid basis too. Some of the Indian-centric applications include Arromatics, CNBC TV18 Moneycontrol, Hungama MyPlay and Mundu Radio.

BlackBerry App World also has categories, top downloads and features like other App Stores of Nokia, Microsoft, Apple, Android and Samsung. Users can recommend the functions just like they rate apps in Apple.

The Application storage includes a folder My World that might be quite handy for the users. It is a personal storage folder that will help you in keeping a track of the apps downloaded. The application archiving feature in BlackBerry App World will allow users to archive their apps in the in-built memory as well as microSD memory card of the phone.
