Nokia is about to launch Nokia 100, a new basic handset for the Indian users. The single SIM model that runs on Series 30 operating system will go on sale from September, and is mainly targeted at the price sensitive section of the Indian market.

- Ready-to-user Nokia Life Tool, offering services like entertainment news, health advice, market information, weather forecasts and language tuition
- FM Radio
- Flashlight
- Loud speakers and 3.5 mm audio jack offering better sound quality
- Vibration and Polyphonic 32 ringtones as incoming call indicators
- An internal memory capable of storing 500 entries of phone contacts and SMS
The colour options for the handset are Phantom Black, Ocean Blue, Coral Red, Festival Pink and Legion Blue.
The handset is expected to be available at approximately INR 1,500 /-, if not at a lower price. It is undoubtedly a good news for the Indian consumers that they are now going to have a handset with some interesting features at such an affordable price. Now it’s time to just wait for the actual arrival of the product in the Indian market.
