NEC, the American display solutions company and a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions is launching a brand new 17inch MultiSync monitor. It is made specially for persons working in the IT sector,corporate and educational sector. This latest product was just announced to their already long lineup of devices. It has a standard aspect desktop display.

Nec’s  LCD175M LCD Monitor has two power energy saving modes. Because of which it is able to reach a consumption of 0.4w power in Power Savings Mode and Power Off. Reports from NEC have confirmed that it is supposed to consume 42 percent less energy than the previous versions.

• A headphone jack with downward firing multimedia speakers
• 1000:1 contrast ratio
• 5ms response time
• 250 cd/m2 brightness
• Height adjust (50m) and tilt capabilities
• The power consumption and mercury consumption is 50% less than the previous versions
• Carbon savings are being verified by a carbon footprint meter
• In the base of the framework, recycled plastic has been partially used
• Brightness is equivalent to 250 candles per square metre
