MTS has come up with two Android enabled smartphones for the Indian market – MTS MTAG 3.1 (Huawei C8511) and MTS Livewire (ZTE N600). Both the products come in the sub INR 5,000 category.
Features of the two phones –
MTS MTAG 3.1
- Equipped with Android 2.2 Froyo OS, providing access to more than 200,000 applications.
- Running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S1 processor.
- Working on CDMA EV-DO REVA technology.
- A 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen, boasting a display resolution of 240 x 320.
- A 3.2 MP rear camera.
- An MTS TV application, offering Live TV and on-demand video playback facilities.
- A 3.5 mm headphone jack slot.
- Voice search capabilities.
- Access to Google services, such as Gmail, GTalk and You Tube.
MTS Livewire
- Equipped with Android 2.2 Froyo OS, providing access to more than 200,000 applications.
- Running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S1 processor.
- Working on CDMA EV-DO REVA technology.
- Access to Google services, such as Gmail, GTalk and You Tube.
MTS India has claimed these phones to be the cheapest Android smartphones available for the Indian consumers, with the objective being bridging the gap between Android smartphones and the Indian mass.
