MSI Launches the WindPad 100W in India!

The Apple iPad wasn’t the only tablet PC that graced the Indian market last week. MSI also announced the release of the WindPad 100W tablet PC in India. This MSI tablet runs on Intel Mobile Processor – Intel Melow Processor Z530 (1.60GHz) and operates using Microsoft Windows 7 OS. It also has a 2GB DDR2 RAM and 32GB SSD for storage while the 10.1-inch LCD multi-touch display has a resolution of 1024×600 pixels.

This tablet claims to make creating and sharing images and video fast and portable with its incorporated dual cameras while the full HD viewing and playing are for an impressive high definition video, image, browsing and gaming experience. Other specifications include:

*Card Reader
*Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n)
*A mini HDMI x1
*1 USB 2.0 port
*Over 6 hours of battery life
*800g weight
*Dual Cameras and more.

It also has features and apps like the Multi-Touch, Screen Rotate, Light Sensor Detect, G-sensor, MSI WindTouch, EasyFace, Taskbar Magnifier Tool, Photo EasyViewer etc.

The timing of the WindPad 100W’s release puts it right amidst the race of tablet PCs in the Indian market as Samsung’s Galaxy Tab and the Apple iPad are already available. In addition, what is quite baffling, is the price tag of Rs.34,990 on the MSI WindPad 100W while its counterparts the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Apple iPad are priced at Rs. 28,000 and Rs. 27,900 (starting price) respectively. The price alone becomes a big reason for one to think it over again before buying it, and with its late release, the MSI WindPad 100W appears to be headed for a bleak business.
