Motorola Launches ZN300 Slider Phone

Motorola has unveiled ZN300, the stylish slider phone in India. The Motorola ZN300 is a quad-band GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz network ready cellphone with 2.1 inch QVGA display, FM Radio, 3.15 mega pixel digital camera and a microSD expandable memory slot.

The slider-up type cellphone has a large 2.1 inch 240×320 pixels display showing 256K colors. It has Li-Ion 940 mAh standard battery with an increased battery life offering up to 8 hours of talk time and 400 hours standby time.

Weighing 103 grams, the ZN300 has 8-GB internal storage where you can save up to 2000 phone numbers and 500 SMS messages. You can expand the memory of the handset up to 32-GB with a microSD/MMC memory card.

Media Player

ZN300 comes integrated with Windows Media Player v11 and has dedicated music keys that allow quick access to music controls. You can play audio/ video in MP3, AAC, WMA, Midi, AAC+, WAV, AAC-Enhances, AMR and Real Audio formats.

You can connect any standard 3.5mm headset accessory to the ZN300, as it has a 3.5 millimeter headset jack. The CrystalTalk technology in the cellphone gives a clear sound in noisy environments. The RDS feature enables the users to record short FM radio clips and use them as phone alarm. You can also share FM stations via SMS.

Digital Camera

The 3.15 mega pixels camera of Motorola ZN300 has 8X digital zoom, white balance and brightness adjustment features. The digital camera also has fixed focus lens and in-built LED flash to take click clearer pictures.

You can do video recording with 128 x 96 pixels, 176 x 144 pixels and 320 x 240 pixels resolution in MP4 and 3GP formats. With the video playback feature, you can play standard videos in MP4, 3GP, H.264, MPEG4, and WMV file types.

The in-built Video Mixer application in Moto ZN300 will give you the freedom to add sound effects and transitions to your video. You can mix video files and photos and audios to make a professional-looking clip that will include transitions and overlays also.

Connectivity

The Motorola ZN300 offers GPRS Class 10 connectivity with up to 48 kbps speed, Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP wireless connection and EDGE class 10 with uptp 236.8 Kbps spped. The only point where handset lacks is that it does not have WiFi, 3G or GPS receiving features.

The handset offers WAP v2.0 browser with xHTML support and has USB 2.0 port for music transfer, phone battery charging and wired connectivity.

The phone supports polyphonic ringtones, has voice dialing, vibration alert, voice memo recording, handsfree speaker, calendar, currency converter and other necessary features that are present in every phone.

Apart from this, the phone has redesigned user interface with voice prompts in Hindi, Marathi and Punjabi languages. It will guide the users through menu navigation, messaging and other user interface features.

The Motorola ZN300 comes with accessories including 1GB memory card, a stereo handset and a USB cable at an approximate price of Rs. 7,950 (plus taxes).
