HTC SNAP Smartphone Launched With Prioritize E-Mail Feature


HTC recently launched HTC Snap Smartphone with amazing features like, 2.4-inch QVGA nontouch display, full QWERTY keypad, and more. However, the most unique feature of this 2mm thick device is its Inner Circle, which allows all the emails from any desired contact to be organized at the top. This auto-prioritize feature is considered to make the email experience of any user more simplified.

To use this unique feature, just press a dedicated Inner Circle key and it will bring emails from a single contact or group of contacts to the top of the inbox. Users will be able to read and reply to such prioritized messages quickly.

Inner Circle features have been formulated after a thorough study by Harris Interactive and commissioned by HTC in USA market. The study revealed that more than 55% mobile users in the US prioritize their mails with whom they frequently communicate through email.

For more comfortable typing the device comes with an ergonomic keyboard sporting extra-large domed keys and feature tactile feedback. Moreover, the HTC Snap offers Microsoft Direct Push Technology for real-time e-mail delivery and automatic synchronization with your Outlook calendar, tasks, and contacts via Microsoft Exchange Server. This smartphone also supports standard POP3 and IMAP e-mail protocols for email system.

It weighs 119 gms and has a compact size of 11.4 x 6.1 x 1 cm (4.5 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide by 0.4 inch deep). Similar to previous HTC smartphones it is also powered with Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard OS and features a 528 MHz Qualcomm CPU. Besides, the device is also equipped with 256 MB of ROM and 128 MB of RAM, microSDHC expansion slot and sports 2.4-inch QVGA NONTOUCH display.

In addition, the HTC Snap smartphone, has a 2.0 megapixel camera with video-recording capabilities. For better connectivity and allowing users to share digital content on the move it offers Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, integrated WiFi, and high-speed 3G HSDPA connectivity.

The HTC Snap Smartphone also comes with a standard 1500mAh battery, which allows users about 8 ½ hours of talk time and about 245 hrs of standby time with full charge.

It is believed that this smartphone will reach stores in select markets across the world following a global launch in the second half of the year. Although, there are no basic information available on the price of the phone.
