HP DV 3005 - A Glimpse Into The Latest Multimedia Entertainment Notebook

As far as HP’s DV series is concerned, for the last few years, HP has always consistently maintained their designs. The DV 3005 is no exception either. It has the same “HP imprint” lid, a black body finish and a glossy tough plastic finish with a limited variety of colors. The construction material used for this notebook makes it sturdy and quite durable. The new HP DV 3005 notebook comes with an Intel® Core™2 Duo processor T5550, 1.83 GHz , 2 MB L2 Cache, 667 MHz FSB, 2048 MB or 2 GB of RAM, 250 GB of internal hard drive. SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support.

As with many other notebooks in the market, the operating system for this notebook is also Microsoft Vista Home or Premium Edition. For the wireless savvies, HP DV 3005 comes with Intel® PRO/Wireless 4965AGN Network Connection and Bluetooth® wireless networking.

The speakers embedded in this laptop are from Altec Lansing. However, these speakers leave much to be desired as far as sound quality is concerned, though these speakers behave admirably at higher volumes, with good clear highs and lows with a bit of under-driving on the mids.

The LCD panel on the DV 3005 is a 13 inch panel with a 1280×800 resolution. This screen offers great performance in regards to brightness, contrast and color. However, it does give some trouble when viewed from certain angles. The HP DV 3005 offers a built-in web camera, a fingerprint reader, HDMI output with HDCP support, VGA output, three standard USB ports, an ExpressCard slot and a 5-in-1 media card reader. There is even an eSATA/USB combo port available. The battery of the HP DV 3005 can easily last for 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The only downside is its shiny interiors, but if you can overlook that you get a strong laptop that delivers at all fronts.
