Dell Launches Inspiron Slim and Mini Tower Desktops in China


Dell has launched the new range of Inspiron slim and mini-tower desktop PCs. The range is initially launched in Chinese markets specially for the buyers who love to personalize all their computing devices as per their home and office decor. Both the PCs are available in choices of Intel Core 2 Duo, Celeron, Intel Core 2 Quad or AMD Sempron, Phenom X4 and Athlon X2 processors. Buyers also get a chance to select from an integrated Intel or ATI Radeone graphics cards.

John Terwilliger, Director, Consumer Desktops, Dell said, “We have given complete control to the buyers to choose their own processor, form factor and color for building a highly functional and stylish desktop. This customizable system will fit into the lifestyle and budget of every consumer”.

Here are some features of the Inspiron range:

  • Up to 8GB memory on selected systems. Upto 750 GB storage in slim tower and 1TB storage in mini tower.
  • Optional 19-in-1 media card reader.
  • HDMI connectivity.
  • Six USB ports.
  • Dual optical options (only in mini-tower).
  • Blu-ray disc drive.

The PCs come in colors like True blue, formula red, piano black, tangerine orange, pure white, flamingo pink, plum purple and spring green. The slim tower also has a small form factor, which can be horizontally or vertically places to fit in your home media center.

The Dell Inspiron and mini tower systems are currently launched in Chinese market through dell.com, retailers Suning and gome and distributor Digital China. Approximately priced at Rs. 14,930, the PCs are expected to be launched worldwide by spring 2009.
