Now for the other important pieces of heads-up information:

  1. As of now, the Apple iTunes in the iPhone 3G, have not been integrated for the current subscribers. But it should be up and running soon enough. Till then, you won’t be able to access iTunes from your iPhone 3G.
  2. Airtel and Vodafone are said to be giving preference to the 8GB model over the 16 GB model, perhaps due to the price difference that both the models carry. It does seem that, both cellular network operators are trying their best to reach out to as many Indian consumers as possible.
  3. The GPS functionality of the iPhone 3G is said to be in perfect working order for the Indian market. This should provide peace of mind to the potential consumers, as there had been rumors of the GPS feature not being functional for the Indian markets.
  4. One of the most widely used and appreciated application in Apple iPhone is the ‘Stocks Application’, that keeps you informed about the ups and downs of the market. Unfortunately, the Indian Stock Market data hasn’t been assimilated and integrated into the iPhone 3G as yet, meaning that although the app would be present in your phone, but you would not be able to access the data from it.
